…that you got a new camera and you’re still trying to figure out how to use it and you think I’m so cute that you need to take a gazillion pictures of me! I’m not falling for that trap. Earn your own money. I’m not Chuck.

but the funniest thing just happened. John and I were relaxing in the hot-tub when all of a sudden, SPLAAASH! Next thing we knew, we had a cat in the hot tub with us! I was amazed how fast he got himself out of there! Poor thing, it was like 47 degrees outside and the hot tub was around 101! Bet he won’t do that again!
I think Bobbie was trying to figure out what was wrong with him and why he did something so stupid…
I woke up this morning, got ready to go to work, went downstairs and looked out the front door. Guess who came home?! I was never so happy to see a cat before! I’m glad he’s back, ticks and all!
Ricky Whiskers has been missing since late last night. Poor kitty. John and I went out searching for him to no avail. Hopefully he comes back soon. It’s not unusual for the cats to disappear for a day or two, but since we just got Ricky, it makes me a little nervous that he’s not around…
Chuck is the coolest dog in the world. I was showing John Chucks Halloween costume this year. He comments that “Wow, Chuck is a really good dog, why can’t our dog do that?”. At that moment, we look to the foot of the bed to see Breezy licking her butt. “That about says it in a nutshell” he says.
I feel really bad for the new cat, Ricky Whiskers. Poor thing. He was picked up as a stray somewhere in San Jose, taken to the shelter in San Martin, poked, prodded, neutered, and stuck in a cage. We then came and adopted him, only to have him confined, sick, in the laundry room. Then he had to endure me rubbing eye medicine in his eyes three times and day, and shoving liquid medicine down his throat twice a day for the last two weeks. It’s no wonder he’s going a bit stir crazy and decided to chew a small hole in the linoleum in the laundry room…
So yesterday, we finally paroled him and he got to spend a few hours exploring outside. I wasn’t worried too much that he was going to get lost, I was more worried that our other cat, Bobby, wouldn’t like him. After checking each other out and Bobby fluffing up twice his size, they both seemed to get a long just fine!
Right away he found the food.
Checking out the plants.
I love how Bobby stayed down low the entire time, like he was stalking him…
Breezy kept an eye on the scene the entire time.
Poor Ricky Whiskers! Apparently he was sick when we got him. I took him to the vet when I was off work last week. Not only did he have a respirator infection, he also had an eye infection. So for the last week, I’ve been putting eye medicine in both eyes, three times a day, and giving him an oral antibiotic twice a day. One more week to go then he has to go back to the vet. Hopefully he’ll be well and I can finally get him out of our laundry room!
To our newest family member!
He is about 3 years old and we adopted him today from the San Martin Animal Shelter. Since this is John-John’s cat, he gets to name him. We really wanted to name our next cat Ricky since our existing cat is named Bobby. You know, the whole Ricky Bobby thing from Talladega Nights and because both Johns are big race car fans. John-John wants to name him Whiskers. So for the moment, his new name is Ricky Whiskers
He’s really friendly and has a great motor. I think he’s going to do just fine in his new home!
Chuck is the coolest dog! Here’s Breezy trying to emulate Chuck:
The last one is my favorite. Maybe next time we’ll try it when its not 11:00 at night and she was sleeping
