I’ve been taking an online Photoshop Special Effects class. Everyday there is a new lesson and project associated. Here’s the first one I did the other day:

This class involved the use of brushes and frames. I love this shot of Kaileigh and John and Manresa Beach.

John turned 50 on April 10th. All I can say is I hope I look as good and am in as good of health as he is when I turn 50! Happy Birthday honey, we love you!!

This week’s theme is Practical. I’ve been racking my brain since Thursday as to what I could post that is “practical”. I almost didn’t posting anything this week until I came across this picture:

What could be more practical than wearing goggles while sticking your head out the window of the car!

This week’s theme is Smelly. My first instinct was to post something that didn’t smell good. The more I thought about it, the more I decided to post some of my favorite smells instead!

I’m back after missing last week due to a little vacation in Reno This week’s theme is Paper. I had a hard time coming up with something for this week, so I decided on this picture:

This is John-John last year watching the Fourth of July parade. Because the Fourth of July celebrates our independence and the signing of one of the most important pieces of paper in American history, I thought this was appropriate!

This week’s theme is Music. So of course I had to post about my daughter Alanna. She is turning 16 at the end of this month and she writes all her own music and lyrics. Check her music out on her MySpace and let me know what you think. You don’t have to create an account or anything to listen.

I love this picture of Kaileigh from last Christmas. She was inspired to make a bunch of different cookie recipes to pass out to her friends and family. The blue apron that she’s wearing was worn by her grandfather and is one that I now use when I’m in the kitchen. It always reminds me of him and I feel like he’s still in the kitchen with me when I’m wearing it.
